Network Calathea Plant

The Network Calathea (Goeppertia kegeljanii) stands out for its one-of-a-kind foliage. Each bright green leaf features an intricate, dark green crisscross pattern that resembles a delicate mosaic or network. Unlike many other Calathea varieties, its leaves have a distinctive geometric design that adds texture and visual interest to any indoor space. This eye-catching tropical plant is a beautiful choice for plant lovers looking to expand their collection with something truly special.

Network Calathea thrives in medium to bright, indirect sunlight, making it an excellent choice for indoor spaces. Place it near an east- or north-facing window, or a few feet away from a brighter window with filtered light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves and fade their beautiful patterns. While this tropical beauty can tolerate lower light conditions, providing consistent indirect light will encourage healthy growth and keep its stunning foliage looking its best.

The Network Calathea is a rewarding houseplant for anyone willing to give it a little extra attention. It prefers consistently moist, well-draining soil, high humidity, and warm temperatures between 65°F and 80°F. Water when the top inch of soil begins to dry, and consider using filtered or distilled water to help prevent brown leaf edges. Keep it away from cold drafts and heating vents. With the right care, this tropical beauty will reward you with vibrant, patterned foliage year-round. Plus, it's considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a pet-friendly addition to your home!
