Lutea Alocasia Plant

The Lutea Alocasia is a stunning tropical plant known for its oversized, arrow-shaped green leaves and striking golden-yellow stems. When grown outdoors in ideal conditions, it can reach 6 to 10 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide. Indoors, it typically stays smaller, making it an eye-catching statement plant for spacious rooms. Give it plenty of room to spread its dramatic foliage and show off its tropical beauty!

Lutea Alocasia thrives in bright, indirect sunlight, warm temperatures, and high humidity. It prefers rich, well-draining soil that stays consistently moist but never waterlogged. Avoid harsh afternoon sunlight, which can scorch its beautiful leaves. This tropical beauty grows best in USDA Hardiness Zones 9 through 11 when planted outdoors. In cooler climates, it makes an excellent container plant that can be brought indoors when temperatures drop below 50°F.

The Lutea Alocasia is a rewarding choice for plant lovers who can provide a little extra tropical care. Keep its soil evenly moist, maintain moderate to high humidity, and place it somewhere with bright, filtered light. During the growing season, a balanced fertilizer can help encourage lush, healthy foliage. Keep in mind that Alocasia Lutea contains calcium oxalate crystals and is toxic to cats, dogs, and humans if ingested. For households with curious pets or young children, display this striking plant in a secure, out-of-reach location.
