DIY Red Lantern Kit

1. Upon arrival: Unpack your DIY Red Lantern Kit as soon as possible, removing it from the box and any plastic packaging. Greenery can be stored in a cool, dark place like a basement or refrigerator if you’re not ready to work with them directly after unpacking. For the greenery, trim off a half inch of any cut ends, then either soak the entire branch or the branch ends in cool water overnight. Place greenery in a cool location to dry. Once the needles are dry to the touch, an anti-desiccant spray can be applied per package instructions. Avoid using anti-desiccant sprays on junipers, cedar, or spruce, as it will remove the natural waxy coating.

2. Outdoor Use: Place your completed lantern centerpiece in a cool, shady, sheltered location. It will last longer when placed away from direct sun, wind, rain, snow, ice, and sleet.

3. Indoor Use: Place your lantern centerpiece away from direct sun and heat sources like fireplaces, vents, and radiators. Always keep wreaths away from ignition sources. Mist the greenery with water every 1–2 days to promote hydration, increase fragrance, and help it last longer.
