Over 10 foot tall in in one year !!

We bought this fig tree as a 3 gallon in May 2024. It’s Oct 2025 and it grew from a 3-4 foot tree to over 10 foot tall ! It’s been bearing over 200 figs this year in the North Texas heat. Was are shocking with how fast this tree has grown.

Fruiting already…

Just returned from holiday to discover that the 3-gallon Chicago Hardy Fig from Fast Growing Trees which we potted out on our patio a couple months ago has already put out a healthy crop of a dozen little figs.

Fresh, Delicious Figs...Even at -10 Degrees

Why Chicago Hardy Fig Trees?

No matter how cold it gets, the Chicago Hardy Fig Tree will never let you down. Why? For starters, the Chicago Hardy can literally freeze over and still come back strong the following spring, producing bushels of plump, delicious figs.

And you get a ton of fresh fruit. Perfect for peeling and eating right off the tree in late summer to early fall, you'll be enjoying these amazing figs just a year or two after planting. The numbers may surprise you: Your Chicago Hardy will yield as many as 100 pints of figs each season!

Great Plant, Great Company

Came with really developed roots but some leaf mottling. However, the care instructions are clear and customer support has been great. I can't wait to see how good it looks next year and hopefully get some figs!

Trees.com Plant ExpertWe are so happy to hear that our customer support team provided great care and that our instructions were clear! With such a strong root system underground, your fig tree is going to push out beautiful, fresh growth very soon. Thank you for choosing us for your garden, Amanda!

From twig to tree in 3 months!

I bought a 1 quart tree back in May of this year (2026). When it arrived, it was a foot long twig with a couple of leaves. I put it outside and watered it, but procrastinated a few weeks before I planted it. I decided to put it in a large pot this year. Next year I'll figure out if I want to plant it in the ground in my yard somewhere. Fast forward 3 months and it's grown into a legitimate tree and I think I see a few fruit buds. I didn't expect much the first year, but I may actually have some fruit soon.
