    Pleased

I was so excited to receive it. I waited to plant about a week to make sure it gets in the right spot. I’m waiting for the next phase now.

Trees.com Plant ExpertChoosing the right location before planting was a great way to start, LaTasha. We’re glad your Cara Cara Orange Tree is officially in place and hope it thrives from here.

Gonna be a beautiful addition to our garden

The tree arrived in great condition and ready to plant. We have it in a pot (so it doesn’t get too big) and it looks great. It has already started getting new growth. I can’t wait to see it as it grows over the next few years.

Trees.com Plant ExpertHi Jaclyn, keeping your Cara Cara Orange Tree in a pot is a thoughtful way to manage its size while still making it part of the garden. New growth already is a great sign, and the next few years should be exciting to watch.

    We shall see

Re Cara Cara tree received one week ago, it is green and apparently healthy at this time. It is 24 inches from top to start of root ball. It was planted on 7/9 the evening of the day it arrived It has been watered in sandy soil every day either naturally or via hose It is still green at this time and no fertilizer has been applied yer

Trees.com Plant ExpertHi Walter, thank you for checking in with us! We are so glad to hear your Cara Cara Orange Tree is looking green and healthy after its first week in the ground. Planting it right away was a great move. Since you have fast-draining sandy soil, daily watering is helping it transition, but we recommend gradually moving to a deeper watering routine a few times a week to encourage the roots to grow deep and strong. Holding off on fertilizer is also the perfect decision for a newly transplanted citrus tree, as it gives the roots time to settle without the risk of nutrient burn. Your tree has a fantastic start, and we wish you the absolute best as it grows!
