Why Fruit Cocktail Trees
One tree, several fruits: this multi-grafted specimen combines two to four varieties of peach, plum, apricot, and/or nectarine onto a single trunk, so a single planting can give you flavors you'd otherwise need two or four separate trees for, in a fraction of the space. Redhaven and Elberta peaches, Blenheim and Moorpark apricots, Italian plum, and Hardired nectarine are among the varieties selected for the mix, though the exact combination varies by tree and not every variety is guaranteed to be included.
In spring, each grafted branch blooms according to its own variety, so you may see a mix of white and pink blossoms open across the same tree before the leaves fully emerge — a preview of the different fruits to come. The tree grows to a manageable 10 to 15 feet tall and 8 to 12 feet wide at maturity, compact enough for a backyard orchard or even a smaller yard, and its Cold Hardy rating (down to 0°F) means it holds up through winters as far north as Zone 6.
Because it's grafted rather than grown from seed, it fruits far sooner than a seed-started tree — as early as the first year, with two years being typical once established. Harvest begins by mid-summer, and self-fertile flowers mean a single tree can produce on its own, though planting a second nearby will increase your yield.
Why Trees.com?
This particular combination isn't something you'll typically find at a local garden center — multi-graft fruit trees take specialized grafting work most nurseries skip. We've already done the pruning and training needed to establish a strong, balanced structure across all the grafted varieties, so your tree arrives ready to put its energy into fruit rather than needing structural correction in its first years.
Every Fruit Cocktail Tree we ship is backed by our Alive & Thrive Guarantee™, and our Plant Experts are available if you have questions about pruning, pollination, or telling which shoots belong to which grafted variety as your tree fills in.

Tree arrived well packaged and
Tree arrived well packaged and healthy. Spent the day planting my fruit cocktail tree—one tree grafted with two varieties of peaches, a nectarine, and a plum! The hole was four feet wide and two feet deep. I filled the bottom foot with peat moss, sand, biochar, mulch, and manure—basically a buffet for worms and beneficial bacteria. As those materials break down, they’ll help support the tree as its roots grow deeper. For the top foot, I used two soil mixtures with potting soil, sand, vermiculite, and perlite. Around the root ball, I added faster-release fertilizer and rooting compounds to help it get established before winter. The surrounding mixture includes slower-release fertilizer to support growth through its first year. I'm planning on buying some other grafted fruit trees in the Sping!
Fruit Coctail tree
Tree just arrived yesterday...well packed, root was damp and easy to plant. Gave it a bit of root booster and got it in the ground in less than 24 hours. Still had very green vibrant leaves on it. I recognized the leaves from previous peach trees. Keeping fingers crossed it handles a Kentucky winter although this is shaping up to be a warmer one.
Tree arrived in excellent shape,
Tree arrived in excellent shape, leaves green and vibrant. It was well packaged and cared for. We are excited to see it begin to bear fruit in the coming year. Trees. com took great care of us, sending a replacement when FedEx lost our order en route for almost 2 weeks. Thank you!
Amazing Growth!
I am quite impressed! This tree grew an amazing amount the first year. I have added a photo taken 9/1/2025 the day I planted it, and another one a year later on 9/2/2026. The fencing you see is 6' tall. A few months ago I had to move out the stakes and put in longer fencing because it was growing through the fence. The deer eat everything around here, that's why the fence. I used Root Rocket at planting as well as Grow Scripts Orchard Tree fertilizer kit.
