Candy Cane Wreath

1. Upon arrival: Unpack your wreath as soon as possible, removing it from the box and any plastic packaging. Wreaths can be stored in a cool, dark place like a basement or refrigerator if you’re not ready to work with them directly after unpacking. For undecorated wreaths, trim off a half inch of any cut ends, then soak the wreath in cool water overnight. Place the wreath in a cool location to dry. Once the needles are dry to the touch, an anti-desiccant spray can be applied per package instructions. Avoid using anti-desiccant sprays on junipers, cedar, or spruce, as it will remove the natural waxy coating. If you aren’t able to presoak the wreath, mist the back of the wreath before hanging.

2. Outdoor Use: Place your wreath in a cool, shady, sheltered location. Wreaths will last longer when placed away from direct sun, wind, rain, snow, ice, and sleet. In dry climates, wreaths can be misted every few days. Outdoor wreaths can last from 4–12 weeks depending on the climate.

3. Indoor Use: Place your wreath away from direct sun and heat sources like fireplaces, vents, and radiators. Always keep wreaths away from ignition sources. Mist the back of the wreath with water every 1–2 days to promote hydration, increase fragrance, and help it last longer. Indoor wreaths can last up to 3–4 weeks with proper care.
